What Connects Us?

What if, instead of letting differences confound us, we could build bridges of curiosity, resilience, and laughter? Imagine a space where kindness flows like a river, where tough conversations are a path to wisdom, and where we can see the colors of our inner and outer worlds shine. What Connects Us is about doing the work to create that space—a circle where we embrace our whole selves, unique stories and shared humanity. Leave strengthened by connection and with tools that maintain healthy bodies, attitudes, and peace of mind. Together, we’ll dive into the deep end of connection, discovering how compassion and courage can make our relationships and communities truly shine.

What’s in Store?

Think of *What Connects Us* as a gathering of open hearts and curious minds, mixing conversation, movement, and communal creative action plans. It’s a “come-as-you-are” space to explore some big, juicy questions:

- How can we bridge the gaps that feel so present today, nurturing real connection within our families, relationships, and communities?

- What and how can we let go of our stories and fears—to make room for possibility?

- What brings joy, serenity, and strength to our lives, and how can we spread that energy to our loved ones and community?

Where and When?

Second Wednesdays of each month. Our first gathering is December 11 from 6:15-7:45pm (location TBD) and is open to everyone with a sincere desire to participate and feel better. In the future, we’ll branch out to places like local parks, studios, gathering spaces, and perhaps even our own homes.

How We’ll Flow

- Community Gatherings: We’ll kick off with a spark of inspiration—a thought-provoking reading or topic presentation—to set a positive vibe and open our hearts to possibility. This mini-lesson will lay the foundation for meaningful exploration based on our own experiences.

- Discussion Groups: We’ll dive into meditative reflection then thoughtful discussion swapping ideas, sharing stories, and listening deeply. These conversations are more than “just talk”—they’re seeds for strength, growth and change.

- Creative Action & Wellness Plans: After our discussion, we’ll dive into tools, techniques, and physical practices—like breathwork, movement, and mindfulness exercises—that help us stay grounded, focused on our well-being, and resilient. These practices give us the strength to cultivate positivity within ourselves, empowering us to meet any negativity - from ourselves and the world - with confidence and compassion. We’ll organize creative projects like chalk murals, exercise groups, and neighborhood celebrations, to bring light and connection into our daily lives.
